Some of the most important work in a hotel happens where guests never see it.
This video shows part of the linen operation supporting a top-notch Downtown Vancouver hotel known for excellent service and strong guest reviews.
Every occupied room creates laundry.
Sheets need to be changed. Pillowcases need replacing. Towels move through guest rooms continuously. Housekeeping needs fresh inventory available when rooms are being turned over for the next arrival.
Behind all of that is a commercial laundry process designed to keep linens moving.
Hotel Laundry Is About More Than Cleaning
Getting textiles clean is only part of a hotel linen program.
Hotels also need to manage inventory, turnaround times and daily housekeeping demand.
If clean linens are not available when housekeeping needs them, the issue can eventually affect room readiness.
That makes laundry part of the hotel's larger operating system.
What Hotel Linen Service Can Include
A hospitality laundry program may include sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath linens and other washable hotel textiles.
Different textiles can have different processing and finishing requirements, but the overall objective remains the same: return clean, consistent inventory that housekeeping can put back into service.
Supporting Hotel Housekeeping
A reliable linen program allows housekeeping staff to concentrate on preparing rooms rather than operating a large internal laundry process.
For busy hotels, that can remove hours of washing, drying, finishing and textile handling from the property itself.
Consistency Matters
A hotel known for excellent service has to deliver that experience repeatedly.
Guests may never think about the laundry operation behind their room—and ideally, they should not have to.
Clean sheets, fresh towels and properly prepared rooms should simply be there when needed.
That is why consistency behind the scenes matters.
Fresh. Reliable. Ready for every stay.
